24 Hours of the Marble: 20th edition

The Festival Committee of Saint Mars de Locquenay is celebrating its 20th edition of the 24 Hours of the Marble! Join them starting May 18, 2024, for three days of festivities, competitions, and friendliness in Saint Mars de Locquenay.

Race program

SATURDAY :

• 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Qualifications
• 1:30 p.m.: Start of the race until Sunday 5:30 p.m.

• 6 p.m.: Awards ceremony

Hours of operation :

• Saturday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Sunday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

General presentation

The 24 Hours of the Marble race takes place on a 77-meter sand track, the shape of which varies each year. The track is made up of wet and compacted sand, dotted with obstacles that change from year to year to add challenge for the participants.

Qualifications

Practice begins on Saturday morning and determines the starting grid. Each team completes three laps of the circuit, and the average of the shots is used to calculate the starting position for the first round.

Race progress

The race includes 10 rounds where each player must play 7 hours in total. Mid-round, a change of player is possible. The ranking for each round is established and the general ranking is calculated at the end of the 24 hours. Surprise rounds reverse the starting order to give all teams a chance to get back into the lead.

Official Rules

To participate, each competitor must have a sponsor and pay the registration fee. The minimum age to participate is 18 years old. Vehicles used must be 1:24 scale and not exceed 20 cm in length and 10 cm in width. Testing begins at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and closes at 11:00 a.m.
